I met Lakia a year and a half ago at Samone and James Walley’s wedding back in April 2008. She is the best friend of Samone’s sister, she was one of the bridesmaids in the wedding and she and Pernell are pledging their love for one another next year in March.
I was so pleased to be called by Moneka, Samone’s sister and Lakia to cover her wedding!
There are some folks you meet who you just know are the genuine article and Lakia truly is. She is so friendly and easy-going and I can see why Pernell fell in love with her. She is a beauty inside and out!
It will be a gorgeous Newport News wedding and a reunion of many of the same folks who were at James and Samone’s wedding.
We got together for a Yorktown engagement session-that is where Pernell grew up-and we had a lovely time together. We talked and got great shots and they took time to listen and pray for my brother Chad who is suffering with inoperable brain cancer. Pernell and Lakia are the type of couple that make me love what I do!
