Crabtree Falls, VA

My wife, daughter and I traveled with some good friends of ours to Crabtree Falls a couple weekends ago. I’ve known Dave and Dawn since 2000 when I moved down to the Southeastern Virginia area, and Susan and I have spent a few evenings with them over the years enjoying a good meal and conversation, but this was our first big hike together as families.
Dave is a self-made Flash programming guru and thrice times author and Dawn is an awesome portrait and children’s photographer, and we just enjoy spending time with them and their daughter Meridian.
If you’ve never just gotten away to hike in the wild or in the mountains where cell phones don’t roam and the waterfall is loud and soothing, you just have to do it. It recharges and refreshes.
